About Us

Our Journey

Following the Leading of our Lord

Where It First Began

Kingdomgarten Preschool Services (KPS) was born out of a crisis in 2019, when the Christian preschool ministry in Singapore (SG) faced diminishing year-on-year enrolment, increasing losses and tough competition from other preschools.

Christian leaders and churches who felt the burden from the Lord for this existential crisis came together as a taskforce to discuss strategies to overcome the challenges.

This led to the birth of the:

1) Christian Preschool Alliance (CPA), SG’s Christian preschool community; and

2) Kingdomgarten Preschool Services (KPS), a not-for-profit organisation.

About the
Christian Preschool Alliance

Sharing a Common Purpose as a Christian Preschool Alliance

The Christian Preschool Alliance (CPA) is essentially the preschool community in SG that shares a Common Purpose in providing a quality early childhood education which nurtures biblical values in children; is integrated with biblical truths in the learning; and shows God’s love to children, staff and the larger community.

Encouraging Singapore’s Christian Preschool Community

A key forum that CPA coordinates every year for the preschool community is the Early Childhood Teachers’ Day Dedication Service. It serves to encourage Christian preschools, Christian EC educators and leaders to strengthen their faith and persevere in their ministry calling.

About Kingdomgarten Preschool Services

Due to the urgent need to operationalise plans to provide immediate resuscitation support and services to Christian preschools in dire need of help, the taskforce saw to the birth of the Kingdomgarten Preschool Services (KPS) Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation established with full-time staff. KPS has been contributing to the CPA as the secretariat.

5 Loaves & 2 Fish

Our ministry is built on the Biblical principles of ‘5 Loaves & 2 Fish’ and ‘Kingdom-mindedness’, which is synonymous with our logo.

The 5 “oval-like shapes” at the top part of the logo symbolises ‘5 loaves of bread’, and the fish at the bottom of the logo with a shadow symbolises ‘2 fish’. We believe that whatever we or our partners contribute whatever little we have in obedience and in joy unto God’s plate, God will multiply the efforts. Our little is never too small in the hands of great King!

Kingdom-Mindedness

The top part of the logo represents a crown, which symbolises Kingdom-mindedness. We believe in the posture of being Kingdom-minded in all that we do. It is not our ministry, but a Kingdom ministry.

Working Together as a Christian Preschool Community

The preschool community in the CPA endeavours to work together with the following tenets:

a.       Kingdom-Mindedness [Matt 6:33]

We recognise that as God’s children, we will always seek His Kingdom first in our thoughts and actions.

b.      Good Samaritan Spirit [Luke 10:25-37]

We show compassion to one another and to the community, offering our help and resources to those in need.

c.       5 Loaves and 2 Fish Generosity [John 6:1-14]

We trust that the little we have to offer is never too small in the hands of our mighty God. The yoke will be unequal. Those of us who have more will contribute more, and vice versa.

d.      Walking-on-Water Faith [Matthew 14:22-33]

We look towards God and not the waves in the water, and not allow fear to distract us. Walk by faith and not by sight.

e.       Fruit of the Spirit Disposition [Galatians 5:22-23]

We embrace the fruit of the Spirit in our engagements with one another. In times of uncertainty or tension, approach the situation with the fruit of the Spirit.
